SCAM ALERT: Karen England, Capitol Resource Institute Fail Another Initiative

Five Years ago in October, Karen England alleged to have been visited by the FBI related to the finances of the Placer GOP Central Committee. This was on the heels of now Congressman Doug LaMalfa, and still sitting state senator Ted Gaines echoing the same lies related to financial malfeasance on the front page of the Sacramento Bee. Here we sit in Late 2015, no visits from the FBI, and no charges filed, no phone calls, no depositions, nothing. Doug LaMalfa Lied. Karen England Lied. Ted Gaines Lied. This is the only conclusion you can draw 5+ years later.

So it stands to reason that Karen England would continue to habitually lie.

We have documented here on the Right On Daily Blog the pattern of ideological and initiative fraud by Karen England and her crew. England now lives in Nevada and attempted to re-invent herself as a force in Nevada Politics. That did not work out well as all reports I am getting from Nevada are that they saw her coming and only a handful of people were taken in by her. Every bill her new fundraising group in Nevada attempted to run was killed.

Apparently, because California is more than 10 times as large as Nevada there is an ample supply of suckers.

Except for the Pacific Justice Institute. They are on the report for nearly $25k in to the latest fundraiser for the Capitol Resource Institute. This is what I have come to believe about all initiative and referenda she touches. As of the time of the posting of this blog, the CA SOS website is down – or I’d be able to link to more donations from the PJI which bring the total to just short of 50K.

Did Karen England and the Capitol Resource Institute use the Pacific Justice Institute as a front? Remember – England’s Reputation has to be toxic, quoting an expose’ I pieced together over the years:

We investigated and found out that the Stop SB48 campaign never filed a campaign finance report (and appeared more like a fundraiser than a real effort), so none of the donors will ever know what happened to their money. The Stop SB777 campaign did not raise enough to electronically file, nor did her Write in Campaign for Lt. Governor in 2010. Based on what happened with their severely botched AB1266 referendum campaign where insiders said that they were not serious about the effort until it started to get a life of its’ own… anyone that donates to anything that Karen England is leading is a fool.

The Coup D’Etat is the fake Prop 8 Website that the Capitol Resource Institute Ran. If you read the link, you will find that their shadow campaign raised some $120k, a large portion of which ended up in the coffers of the Capitol Resource Institute. There is also a link to 36 pages of emails proving the campaign existed, even though the website is long gone. There is also an analysis of the campaign finance and where the money went.

She has supported several candidates for office over the years. It was not until we started to look beneath the surface that we found a disturbing pattern. The ones she most aggressively supported were also donors. Then Candidate, Now Congressman Tom McClintock $6,000.Read this link and in it you will see: Then Assemblyman, now Congressman Doug LaMalfa$27,500. Then Assemblyman, Now State Senator Ted Gaines $7,000. There are others: State Senator Jim Nielsen, $1000, then candidate, now Assemblymember Beth Gaines, $1000 and Board of Equalization Member George Runner $6,000.

Did the PJI run interference because of the embarrassing failure of their AB1266 referendum that was followed by a failed initiative (that England was in the background of) for round three?

The SOS website also shows $20k from Calvary Chapel of Chino Hills (is this a Ben Lopez Connection?) and $10k from a Duane Doyle a business owner in So-Cal.

My surface analysis of the 6-30-2015 filing shows enough that I can level the charge that this was a scam to fund the Capitol Resource Institute like the above FIVE efforts were proven to be!

Out of about 40K reported raised as of 6-30-2015 – we have payments of $23,717 to the Capitol Resource Institute! (For “RENT”) CRI employees Danille Cullum $4,512 and — there she is again, $8625 to Karen England.

That is a total of $36,584 out of the less than $40k Raised paid to the CRI or its’ employees. Cozy. How the hell do you qualify a real effort doing this?

Karen England used the dog whistle of the “bathroom bill” and was too intransigent to understand in a liberal state like California that the better way to get broader support would have been to focus on youth sports and the unfair advantage boys could get if they claimed to be girls. (Could you imagine a 16 year old boy on a girl’s softball field and its’ 250 foot fences???)

There are many context clues people could get before they get ripped off – anyone serious about actually qualifying an initiative and overturning this insanity would have gone that route. Fairness stuff is a winner across party lines. This time, however, the Pacific Justice Institute got involved – I wonder if their donors knew that they just paid for the maintenance and upkeep of Karen England and the CRI?

Remember when I excoriated Karen England and Company over the AB1266 Referendum? Apparently, they have learned their lesson – partially.

After running what many believed was another fundraiser to Capitol Resource Institute, the thing got legs and damn near qualified.

After leaving California and trying to reinvent herself in Nevada – England got eviscerated in Nevada and appears to be back in California once again trying to run an AB1266 Initiative.

They are still obsessing over the “Bathroom Bill” aspect of the deal – which in a far-left state like California will not resonate the way the fairness in youth sports argument would. Far be it from me to criticize the superior intellects of Ms. England and co.

I think AB1266 is evil. I agree with any effort to overturn it and think those that voted in favor of it have violated the public trust they were elected to serve.

While I detest Karen England – I will endorse the concept of overturning AB1266. I can not and will not aid anything that directly or indirectly benefits the Capitol Resource Institute. I am not alone in that sentiment, which is why I believe that effort will fail.

However, I have been told that England has real professional help. (I wish it included a therapist, but I digress) This could ensure a legitimate effort that has potential to succeed. England has to win this or she is done. I am amazed at her psychotic persistence and how many political lives she appears to have.

This is quite different than the doomed SB277 referendum. It was borne out of the paranoid fantasy of a deranged non-Republican activist in Fresno.

She managed to get one of the most toxic figures in California Politics to front the effort. So far, they lack the funds to even be able to print the petitions if they get a title and summary from the AG’s office this week.

The individual behind the SB277 effort will seek to blame this blogger and the other individual who attempted to file a referendum for the failure of her effort.

However, her own behavior and what she did to more people than just us, along with Tim Donnelly will seal its’ doom.

The Bottom Line is that legislators on both sides will not be involved with anything Tim Donnelly – and Donnelly knows this.

The Bottom Line is that donors have used Donnelly as a Judas Goat in order to refuse to act, or they have used the age-old excuse of “Not getting in the middle of a fight” as an excuse.

So – while the petitioner satisfied her inner desire to get even with “the other guy”, she has succeeded in screwing the parents of California out of a chance for justice. Meantime, Tim Donnelly got another 15 minutes to delude himself he is important.

Man, California is screwed up.

P.S. as a total irony – Then Assemblymember Tim Donnelly was the lone vote in favor of the Confederate Battle Flag while running for governor in 2014. In light of current events, something about a broken clock and something about having no political awareness…

Dear Let’s Talk Nevada Readers – I am an unapologetic Social Conservative. I am State Vice President of the California Republican Assembly, the premier Social Conservative group in California. While I agree with many of the issues that Ms. England advocates for (including protecting business owners from getting tossed in jail over wedding cakes), I am reaching out to you because of a 12+ year nightmare that has been my experience dealing with Karen England. If you are a conservative reader of Let’s Talk Nevada, get scared and get this woman as far away from you as you can.

Fraud is Fraud. No true conservative does the things Karen England does. I am of the opinion that Karen England is a charlatan and I will relate a body of evidence I have assembled from dealing with her up close. I have the battle damage to prove it, including a legal threat letter from her lawyer. (I note that her lawyer certifies in the letter that “Ms. England is NOT Mentally Ill”.)

Over the years, I have witnessed a disturbing pattern from Karen England. My experience shows that she is not the volunteer activist she says she is while pointing a self-righteous finger at others. She is a vindictive, calculating woman who attempts to take over every organization she is a part of.

She attempted to take over the Placer County GOP Central Committee – even endorsing several pro-choice and pro gay marriage Republicans in the process!

She attempted to take over the California Republican Assembly, the organization that I currently serve as a Vice President of. The April 2011 CRA convention is one that will live in infamy and resulted in Karen England’s expulsion from CRA for 10 years for committing fraud on a massive scale. Showing her affinity for lawyers – England sued the CRA twice, once before and once after the April, 2011 CRA convention. This “stalwart conservative” attempted to use a string of fraudulent “Units” of CRA to send delegates to our convention to vote for her and her team, then sued CRA when the leadership tried to stop it before the convention, actually getting a temporary restraining order and sued CRA again when she lost! (for those of you on the left – imagine the concept of a “Paper Local” in a Labor Union Election, this is what Ms. England attempted to use in CRA)

As she was being marginalized from the California GOP and the CRA, Karen embedded herself in local tea parties in the 2009-2010 time period which coincided with her all out attack on her political adversaries. The naive Tea Partiers drank up her hyperbolae of corruption and money laundering without question. Ms. England publicly claimed in front of dozens of witnesses that the FBI went to her house in October of 2010 to talk about the finances of the Placer GOP Central Committee. This attack was used as a rallying cry for the Tea Partiers to align themselves with moderates to oust the Conservative leadership of the Placer GOP in the 2012 election.

To this day, many of Karen England’s Tea Party recruits believe that felonies were committed and four years later, the FBI has showed up at no one’s house other than that of Ms. England.

As the executive director of the Capitol Resource Institute – England has participated in several dubious actions that suggest that she is either incompetent or completely corrupt. There are a string of failed referenda, a write-in campaign for Lt. Governor and the CRI appears to have run a fake website to filch money out of the prop 8 Campaign.

The Above must have believed that they were supporting a good conservative group, without realizing what Karen England was doing.

Once she started getting exposed, like any bully she attempted to destroy her political adversaries. Ultimately, she ran to Nevada and left California. Now she is your nightmare.

Over the years and as one of the few people on the right with the courage to stand up to Ms. England, I have faced the full force of her wrath. It is my belief that she used her media savvy to get a front page story ran in the Sacramento Bee quoting now Congressman LaMalfa accusing my Brother of Felony Embezzlement. You’ve seen the legal threats, the lawsuits and the like. (The link is to a Modesto bee story that also ran in the Sacramento Bee)

Those of us that still care about the California GOP will be ten years cleaning up the trail of destruction she has left behind. If you are a liberal democrat, don’t pat yourself on the back. Nevada is a different state. It will see-saw between parties. Unless a dedicated group of good people from both sides of the aisle put down the issues and focus on the demonstrated pattern of personal and professional corruption – like a leech and a cancer, Ms. England will metastasize and you will all be in the cross-hairs yourselves. The mere fact that this blog has stood up likely already has its’ owners on the radar screen.

The Right On Daily Blog Commemorates 10/22 as FBI day. In the insanity that dominated my life surrounding moving, I forgot my annual post.

The train-wreck that is our current Placer County GOP Central Committee was facilitated by a chain of events set off by Conservative Fraud Karen England. England went on a rampage jihad, enlisting many of the very same tea partiers that are working with the liberals that control the Placer GOP Central Committee in her rampage.

At the January 2011 organizational meeting of the Placer GOP – Karen England said publicly that the FBI had been to her house in October of 2010 to talk to HER and (no one else) about the finances of the Placer GOP.

This led to a Central Committee Member who may or may not have been Cheryl Bly-Chester filing multiple FPPC Complaints against the Committee that were pointed to as evidence of corruption and a front-page above-the-fold article in the Sacramento Bee, quoting now Congressman Doug LaMalfa about the baseless charges.

These particular Tea Partiers have never apologized or backtracked from their claims of corruption.

A financial audit of the Cent Com revealed nothing. The FBI has visited no one. The FPPC never fined the Central Committee.

Four years have passed since Karen England lied in public about being visited by the FBI. Occasionally, I get reports back that some of the same insane tea partiers are still parroting the baseless charges as fact.

Karen England is still affiliated with the Capital Resource Institute. She is still unapologetic to this day about suing the CRA and continues to trash the organization.

This is politics folks – you lie and lie repeatedly, then double down and never, ever admit you were wrong.

Attention LGBT Community – You have nothing to fear over the AB1266 Referendum

What?

If you read the spin coming from the Capitol Resource Institute (er the Ab1266 Referendum) – you would believe that they are getting screwed by the California Secretary of State.

There is a problem – there is nothing in State Law that mandates a complete count of signatures.

This has not stopped the AB1266 Referendum Team from calling volunteers and donors in a specific effort to cover for their failure and bungling of the referendum. (I’ve been pinged by a few)

In particular, one bit of specific intel suggests that Karen England herself is calling people specifically telling them not to donate to any sort of effort to file an initiative against AB1266 (which would be a backup if the referendum failed). They need money for lawsuits don’t you know.

Please note that the Capitol Resource Institute failed to qualify a referendum against SB777 or SB48 – in both cases, they did not qualify to file an electronic report, so there is no accounting for where the money went.

There is a paper trail related to their Prop 8 effort – an effort that appears to have been to benefit the CRI and no one else as evidenced by the CRI’s refusal to participate with the other players in Prop 8 and their campaign finance report that indicated that nearly 60% of the money raised paid salaries of CRI employees and expenses of CRI.

The AB1266 people are claiming Karen England was not involved. This is false based on the intel we have received.

The AB1266 people are claiming that the CRI was not involved, yet the AB1266 effort sublet space in the same office as CRI and the CRI’s President, Tim Lefever was on the steering committee for the referendum. Gina Gleason, the proponent is a long-time ally of Karen England.

Whether or not CRI gets any of the money from this AB1266 effort does not remove their fingerprints. (I’d also love to open the books to prove that there was no transfer of money when this is all done)

Based on what I know, it looks like the bottom line is that the AB1266 Referendum is running a full-scale blitz to save face and to kill any effort to try and create a back-up initiative to be present if and when the AB1266 Referendum fails.

They appear to believe that face-saving lawsuits are more important than our children.

In this case – the LGBT community has nothing to fear. Karen England is doing her best to make sure nothing gets on the ballot unless it is what she controls.

We in the CRA are familiar with this – She and Tim Lefever sued CRA twice. They sued CRA before and after her attempted coup in April of 2011. Once they failed on all accounts – they participated in starting a rival group in an effort to dilute the influence of CRA with Mike Spence as it’s leader. (Spence was also on the steering committee for the referendum.)

She has had a pattern of trying to take over organizations, then trying to destroy them when she fails to take them over. (If you can’t control it, destroy it)

All that being said, the AB1266 Referendum effort appears to have ignored offers to help from the CRA as well, despite what several of their leaders did to CRA in the past…

It appears there is no honor in the family values racket.
