Young Kim’s campaign manager may have made one of the biggest strategic blunders of the entire 2022 election cycle. Sam Oh, who was responsible for sabotaging Greg Raths after Raths made it out of the 2020 primary, my well have sabotaged Young Kim as well. That is, until Raths opened his mouth.

First off – there has been a flurry of late spending on behalf of Young Kim. Republican consultants have refused to adjust to the California jungle primary system – while democrats are spending loads of money in primaries all over the state in attempts to nominate unvetted train-wreck Republican candidates. Even in my new state of Nevada, the Democrats are attempting to thwart Adam Laxalt and Joe Lombardo in favor of much weaker opponents.

Kevin McCarthy is being forced to pour money in to the trump-hating Young Kim.

My rants about ideaological narcissism and train wreck also-ran Republican candidates are legion. Even more so are the conflict-avoiding cowards in party leadership that refuse to politically shoot candidates with no business running for office. Welcome to hell, squishes – Greg Raths has run so many times, he may actually do real damage this time.

Let’s have a look at the mailers from Asif Mahmood: (and the California Democrat Party)

Clever – Greg Raths is “Too Trumpy”. Well, at a recent event, Raths may well have been just that.

The California Political Review has been consistent in denouncing the anti-Semitism of the Democrat Party—Sanders, Warren, AOL, Cory Booker and more.  The AOL squad appears not to want to say the word Jew without spitting.  They hate Israel and love the terrorists.  Gavin Newsom would rather buy oil from the Middle East than allow Californians drill for oil and provide well paying jobs to honest Americans.

So when a Republican, well known in his County spouts outrageous hateful statements about Jews, they also need to be taken to task, censured and yes, shunned,

Mission Viejo Councilman Greg Raths on May 20 gave a speech to an Islamic group in his campaign to defeat Congresswoman Young Kim (both are Republicans).  Here is the headline from the Washington Free Beacon of 5/26/22:

Primary challenger Greg Raths says the ‘Jewish community’ uses ‘money’ to ‘control a lot of’ politicians

“(Raths) also called to “rein in” U.S. foreign aid to Israel, a position he said he is able to support because he hasn’t taken “one dime” from Jewish sources.”

“”The Jewish community is very well organized in the United States and they control a lot of politicians. That’s why the foreign aid is so large going to Israel. … The Jewish community has never given me one dime, so I’m not beholden to them at all.”

His decision to appear at the candidate forum is a curious one for a Republican congressional hopeful. The Orange County Islamic Foundation’s leader, Sheikh Tarik Ata, has called Israel a “Nazi-like, apartheid, racist, aggressive, tyrannical, vicious, child-killing Zionist entity.”

I agree with the headline below.  Even decent person, Republican or Democrat needs to denounce these outrageous views of Greg Raths—will you?  If so, put your views in the comments section.

Republican Congressional Candidate Sounds Like Anti-Semitic Democrat… GOP NeedsTo Denounce Him [Video] The Blue State Conservative, by Jess Lawson Original Article

One advantage the Republican Party has had over Democrats for several years now is moral credibility. When Harvard University and other Ivy League schools confessed to discriminating against applicants based on race and skin color, specifically against white and Asian students, Democrats had no problem with the practice, including President Joe Biden. Meanwhile, Republicans have been understandably vocal in denouncing the policies. Similarly, when racial bigotry rears its ugly head from Republicans, action is taken. When former Republican Iowa Congressman Steve King made “white supremacist” comments, he was rebuked by a vote of 416-1 in the House of Representatives.

Say good night Greg Raths  – you singlehandedly bailed out Sam Oh and Young Kim. Get the hell out of public office.

Congressional candidate and Mission Viejo Councilman Greg Raths apologized Thursday after Jewish community leaders raised concerns about what some termed “disturbing” anti-Semitic comments made by Raths during a recent candidate forum put on by the Orange County Islamic Federation.

Raths, a Republican challenger in the competitive race to represent CA-40, which spans Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, also attempted to explain apparent policy contradictions between what his campaign website says and what he told the Islamic Federation crowd about his positions on Israel and Palestine.

Not gonna work Greg. Read the rest of the OC Register Article here.

What a waste of millions of campaign dollars. Sam Oh needs to be replaced by the NRCC unless he has a very good explanation for what looks like a 5-alarm strategic blunder. Oh, and Young Kim’s impeachment/censure vote. Good Lord.

The only thing that will save the democrats in 2022 is Republicans.

Despite what the experts say, it appears that Katie “Trainwreck” Porter is sweating. She has been making several appearances on fawning media. There is some palace intrigue regarding the fate of Senator Dianne Feinstein as some of the pyschos on the extreme left think she is going to get arrested for insider trading. The problem is that it is not illegal under the rules Obama signed in to law the year after the practice was allegedly banned. Secondly, take a look at her and ask yourself if she could beat Adam Schiff in a communist primary in California?

Yup. This is the Congressman from CA-45.

Greg Raths beat Don Sedgwick and others in the primary. The experts thought Sedgwick was the best ticket for the GOP – now it appears they are stuck on the notion that Raths can’t win #CA45.

Will 2020 be the year that Greg Raths actually calls people and raises money and support? It’s out there if he will get it and Katie Porter is not well-liked despite what she’d have you believe.

Jennifer Seibel Newsom – the first lady of California wrote a fawning article about Katie Porter in some gossip rag. (Remember Jennifer Newsom was Gavin’s 2nd or 3rd affair on his previous wife) The Atlantic wrote an article about Porter grandstanding against Political Action Committees and sources tell me none other that perennial leech and consultant debris Matt Cunningham is telling people big donors are sitting out the 2022 US Senate Race in California.

So – are Matt Cunningham and others known to be associated with Disney working against Greg Raths on behalf of Porter? Do they think getting Porter parachuted in to the US senate (BatWoman costume and all) will make it easier for Disney to purchase a replacement? If Disney cares this much why didn’t they intervene in the CA45 Primary?

Porter on her own right seems to have missed the memo about her easy re-election: (From Elle Magazine, a publication that tells women to have an affair on their husband to liven up a dull marriage among other brilliant advice tidbits)

What’s your greatest fear heading into the 2020 election?

One is that I represent an area with a large campus, the wonderful University of California Irvine. I’m very worried about those students and how they’re going to vote. I’m also worried broadly about how Americans react when they’re struggling. This is a time in which so many people are unemployed, so many people are worried about how the economy is going to bounce back, how they’re going to pay their rent or their mortgage, what kind of job opportunities might be there for their kids.

I think when that happens, that fear often turns into anger and frustration, and sometimes that turns into wanting to find someone to blame. The reality here is the problem is the virus. I worry that people will just be so frightened, and they’ll get angry and they’ll get discouraged about the potential of government in a time like this. There’ve been so many lost opportunities by the administration in this pandemic. I very much hope that people see and believe in the good that government can do.

As if we have not figured this out already – the democrats have been ballot harvesting for years. I’ve seen it in 2002, 2006, 2008 and I’ve been told specifics in other elections (including 2012 in Washoe County Nevada). Katie Porter knows that without a college campus, teacher’s union halls, senior living facilities, SEIU halls and the like that her road to re-election will be much more difficult. Planned Parenthood facilities serving as ballot drop-off points are not enough to do the job. Also note her confirmation that Government is her higher power.

I’m very worried about those students and how they’re going to vote.

Stay tuned folks – I think there is something to the US Senate rumors about Katie Trainwreck:

Who is your top pick for vice president?

I am a super fan of Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren. These are the two women who made it possible for me to launch my campaign. When I first thought about running for office, I’d never run for anything, not even city council or student government. When I went to both of them and I said, “I’m thinking about running for Congress,” they both made very clear that they would be by my side and be with me every step of the way. [There’s] that potential for growing the next generation of leaders. I’ve seen them both do that. They’re both passionate about justice, about equality. They’re both willing to stand up to power, and they both have strong voices.

But remember what’s most important: I’m very worried about those students and how they’re going to vote.

Katie Trainwreck for Senate. Congress is but a stepping stone…

No incumbent deserves re-election. They have to earn it. Period.

John Moorlach is selfish and does nothing to help anyone but himself. Moorlach is also reputed to be acerbic and aloof to people he deems unimportant and he also holds life-long grudges so the story goes. That was the nexus of Don Wagner’s run against him.

Mimi Walters is a freshman Congresswoman whose inaugural Heritage Score was a “D”. Apparently, this is the nexus for Greg Raths to run against her.

Hold the above thoughts for Dana Rohrabacher’s Press Release:

Statement by Congressman Dana Rohrabacher

I intend to run for re-election in 2018.

I very much enjoy and am honored to represent my constituents in the 48th Congressional District. My only plans are to continue to do so in 2016, 2018, and beyond. There has been some recent speculation as to appointments if there is a new Republican Administration.  They are simply speculation at this point and not part of my plans.  I can think of nothing more important than serving my constituents and my country in the United States Congress.  It’s an honor and a privilege.

I am disappointed to hear that Scott Baugh has been raising money for a 2018 campaign against me.  Scott Baugh represented to me and many of my supporters/donors that he would never run against me and was only raising money for when I retire. Baugh now seems to be evolving out of that commitment.  I hope that he would return contributions from those who were assured it would never be used in a race against me.

I am proud that I have served our country and my constituents with integrity and will continue to use my experience and my seniority to look out for their interests.

Scott Baugh is a hypocrite. Fred Whitaker is a hypocrite. Many others in OCGOP Leadership are hypocrites.

Whitaker and the OC GOP leadership are attempting to hold up chartering two local volunteer clubs because they don’t like what I am writing on this blog. I am not sure how I, living 440 miles away have gotten so much power that a few small minded people that can’t handle accountability want to hurt other people to vent their frustrations about what I am writing.

Orange County is turning Blue under their watchful eye. I know some that are trying to stop it – but the institutional inertia for the status quo outweighs morality, innovation and any vision for the future.

Scott Baugh is a former Chairman of the OC GOP. He and others on the OC GOP (including current Chairman Fred Whitaker) in their attempts to defend the status quo pointed out that the over $300k raised by Don Wagner, including the 30+K in recent years directly to the OC GOP did not matter. John Moorlach deserved re-election at all costs.

One such cost will be that $30k that Wagner raised is now gone and Moorlach will not raise a dime. He has told leadership as such – even as they were preparing to try and save him from Don Wagner! Apparently, the OC GOP leadership does not need the $30k, a small price to pay to maintain the status quo.

Mimi Walters was defended by Fred Whitaker in a conference call. His primary defense WAS ALL THE MONEY MIMI WALTERS RAISED FOR THE PARTY. Don Wagner raised more. He does not matter, he is not an incumbent.

Real people don’t look at incumbency. Only other incumbents worried about the precedent and what it means to them. We call this self-serving party organizational suicide.

If Mimi Walters deserves re-election because of her fundraising and recruiting of other candidates – then John Moorlach (the double-dipping, pension-spiking “conservative”) deserved to go.

Nope. The OC GOP has no moral high ground to stand on or credibility in my opinion and I write this as some of the same power brokers are rigging the election of the upcoming Orange County GOP Central Committee.

The OC GOP has no moral basis to oppose Greg Raths or attempt to bully him. They need to stand up and be counted as a part of the establishment that has brought us the rage-based coalition of Donald Trump. Trump’s rise is 100% due to the epic moral failure of GOP leadership characterized by situational ethics and prizing the status quo more than anyone or anything else.

This leads us to Dana Rohrabacher. Rohrabacher was FORCED TO DEFEND HIMSELF. Why? The OC GOP actually looks like they did not defend one of their incumbents!!!

So, I can’t even say the OC GOP are denizens of the Status-Quo? It appears that the desire to avoid conflict took them in to a state of paralysis.

Dear Congressman Rohrabacher. I don’t know you. I have met you only once. I will defend you. You deserve better than to be discarded by a new generation of self-serving pseudo-conservative opportunists.

Not everyone in the OCGOP are bad people. There are many good, solid people there. It is time to discard Scott Baugh. It is time to discard Fred Whitaker and let’s get leadership with consistency to principle and a spine.

As a concluding note: To my friends in the newly forming OC GOP volunteer clubs, my apologies if the leadership of the OC GOP uses me as an excuse to protect the status quo. If they deny your charter because of me, that’s on them, not you.

Every election cycle, I see something new. This particular cycle with the advent of “Make America Great Again” and everything else that has occurred to give that credence, incumbents are sweating bullets.

As I have written so many times before, I have had a front row seat to the conflict avoidance that has plagued GOP leadership. It is so endemic that it has defined a generation of GOP leaders.

So, it came as no surprise to me that they arranged a private conference call with Greg Raths, instead of taking him on publicly. I am still unsure why Greg Raths went on this call as I’d have bet him his entire military pension that Mimi Walters would get endorsed unanimously. Those that reached out to Raths claimed that the call was for the purpose of determining who they were going to endorse in CA45.

The call involved a few names Mr. Raths remembered, notably Fred Whitaker (the allegedly unbiased OC GOP Chairman who stood in for Mimi Walters who was not on the call). That is correct, this conference call with roughly 25 GOP leaders was skipped by Congresswoman Mimi Walters.

The fix was in.

That said, they attempted to use this forum to determine what Raths’ strategy was to be against Mimi Walters. Greg Raths, a retired Colonel from the Marine Corps talked a lot about veterans issues. Within minutes of the conclusion of the conference call, Mimi Walters had added a page to her campaign website about veterans issues in an attempt to gain superiority over a Retired Marine Corps Colonel.

A nugget of particular interest from said call was one Fred Whitaker talking about how much money Mimi Walters had raised for GOP candidates in the past as one of her selling points!!!

For those of you with painfully short memories, when Don Wagner was vetting a run against John Moorlach, he rightly castigated Senator Moorlach for REFUSING to help other Republicans. Scott Baugh (and Whitaker for that matter) made it clear that Wagner’s over $300,000 raised and given to other Republicans was irrelevant!

Now that we clearly have the OC GOP leadership in a bear-trap of hypocricy, I can rightly say that the fealty to the status quo is going to turn Orange County Blue. This is the kind of equivocation and two-faced double-speak I have become accustomed to in 18 years of being active in politics.

I do believe that this meeting was borne out of paranoia as well. The entire political establishment regardless of party knows that incumbents can be beaten. The prospect of seeing that precedent has everyone in office bearing their fangs. It is not about Mimi Walters, John Moorlach or (fill in the name of target here), it is indeed about themselves and their next paycheck. Values be dammed.

We wrote about the scandal surrounding Mimi Walter’s retread Chief of Staff who was indicted on 8 felony counts. This overreaction to Greg Raths and seeing a group of people like the crew assembled on the call and the amount of planning for such a ruse is a pretty extreme one at that. The indictment of a staffer for actions well before his current employment is good fodder for a piece of mail and a news story, but it is hardly fatal to a campaign…

… but the extreme fear in the OC GOP establishment sincerely makes me wonder what the heck else is lurking out there about the Freshman Congresswoman.
